Under the hood sits the original, great-running OEM 455 Oldsmobile V8 with power steering, power disc brakes, and air conditioning. It is not known if the air conditioning is operating, although all the parts and plumbing are present and was recharged with R-12 25 years ago.

The car also has a 3.23 positraction rear axle.

This car is as close to a non-restored original as possible. It has been owned for over 25 years by the same family in Colorado, and a death precipitates the need to sell this gem.

It’s a nice driver with some minor flaws.

The stock vinyl interior is in nice, original shape with some minor imperfections, as one might expect in an original 55-year-old car.

The car starts, shifts, steers, and drives as it should, and the doors close with a reassuring thunk.

The engine starts and runs with no smoke, leaks or unusual noises, and idles smoothly and quietly. No leaks are noted. A newer dual exhaust is present.

Exterior flaws include several dings on the hood, one on the trunk, and a tiny amount of rust behind one of the rear wheelwells, as noted. This car is about as rust-free as can be found, having lived in dry Colorado most of its life, showing minor surface rust underneath, except as noted. The vinyl roof is showing its age with color fading.

Drips on the lower rockers from a respray as noted in the attached photos.
