Abbey Swap Meet 2007

If there ever was a classic Ford, than the 1953 Ford F-100 is it!

This one (1953) has the non-wrap around front windshield, that won’t come until 1955.

In 1953 you could get the famous flathead v8 – the last year for this engine – or a new overhead valve 6-cylinder. A new overhead valve V8 ling skirt design would be offered for 1954. But the 1953 trucks had to make do with the reliable but low-powered flathead V8 for 1953.

More popular today than ever before, the classic “bulldog” styling, quality design and construction and tough Ford mechanicals make the F-100 a win-win for everyone! The great news is many thousands of these durable Fords are still around, with many still on the road. If you are diligent, you can find a nice driver for a decent price.
